BTC on the Scene:
Robert Vetica Celebrity-Packed Book Launch Party Sponsored by Moroccanoil
Moroccanoil®, the fast-track luxury Argan oil hair product pioneer and leader, sponsored what could be the season’s most exciting beauty party to celebrate celebrity stylist Robert Vetica’s new “Good To Great Hair.” book launch.
After receiving an exclusive invitation from Moroccanoil® and Robert Vetica, BTC's Mary Rector-Gable left her pile of work on her desk (and the cold Chicago weather) and she boarded a flight to LA, to meet up with VP Dana Schmidtbauer. After pushing past the papparazzi, the two entered Eva Longoria-Parker’s hot-spot restaurant, Beso, for a night to remember.
Hosted by Latin hottie Salma Hayek, the star-studded beauty bash was clearly a private party, as only the biggest names in Hollywood were on hand including Debra Messing, film star Maggie Q, Slumdog Millionare’s Anil Kapoor, Melissa George of Grey’s Anatomy, Rose McGowan and Moroccanoil’s Carmen and Ofer Tal.
"I had a blast and must admit was a little star stuck when Slumdog's Anil Kapoor walked through the door. After having been completely enamored with the movie, Slumdog Millionaire, it was great to spend time with him discussing our respective countries and the power of hope. He is one of the most intelligent and deep-thinking celebrities I've ever met and was incredibly gracious with his time." said Mary.
You can’t have a party without some entertainment, so to cap off the high-energy evening, multi-platinum recording artist Anastacia was on hand to entertain guests, VIPs, and media whom were all on their feet cheering for her balcony singing performance.
Before the festivities began, Vetica took the opportunity to offer up some words of thanks and praise to all those who made a dream of his come true. “The success of this evening is a validation that our community of editorial hairdressers, make-up artists and fashion stylists is thriving and unmatched in what we do,” expressed Vetica. “In my interviews with top beauty editors, it became more and more evident that a book had to be written. I wanted to offer women more detailed instructions on how to achieve beautiful hair with little effort. The book is full of trade secrets, and shares many of my own experiences in editorial and celebrity styling on the set.”
