Gatsby Salon in Green Brook, NJ., is the setting of the Style Network’s new docu-soap, Jerseylicious.

Who knew New Jersey would turn out to be so hip? First, there was the hit play, Jersey Boys. Then there was MTV’s Jersey Shore. Now there’s Jerseylicious, a new docu-soap that focuses on the professional and romantic lives of six stylists at Gatsby Salon, a modern 3,500 square foot beauty boutique. Family owned and run since 1977. Gatsby Salon has continued to evolve throughout its 30+ year in the biz. When master stylist Daniel Gianfrancesco passed away suddenly in 1998, his wife Gayle took the reins, allowing the salon to evolve while still maintaining its original integrity and values.

“When we got the opportunity to star in a television show, it wasn’t something that we could turn down,” says Gayle, the star of Jerseylicious. “My late husband Danny lived for television and unconventional ways to promote the business. Long before reality television, he created hair infomercials to teach viewers and stylists new hair cutting techniques. He was a pioneer in the styling industry, and television helped to elevate him to a higher level. Needless to say, we didn’t have to think twice about saying yes to the show.” You can catch episodes of Jerseylicious on the Style Network starting March 21.
