Apply For This Scholarship!

CND Co-Founder and Style Director Jan Arnold at a Beauty Changes Lives event.

Are you the type that loves nails? For you, nail art is the only art—nails are your canvas and polish is your medium. Ready to take your passion to the next level?! The Fall 2016 Beauty Changes Lives|CND|Tippi Hedren Nail Scholarship is accepting applications NOW through Aug. 15, giving you the chance to embark on your nail journey!

Want to apply? Submit an inspiration board showing your passion and inspiration for the nail industry. You’ll also submit a video application and essay explaining why you are pursuing a career in the nail industry and how receiving the scholarship would change your life. A panel of nail artists and brand leaders will review the entries and select five students enrolled in a professional nail education program at a qualified school to each receive a $2,500 scholarship toward their education.

Winning this scholarship could accelerate your career! Take Sarah Waite, for example—she won a scholarship in 2015 and her work has now appeared in leading trade publications, the “Nail’d It” series on Oxygen, and even on the “Today” show!

Before you apply, get tips on how to WOW the judges!

The BCL|CND|Tippi Hedren Nail Scholarship Fund celebrates the rich and rewarding career opportunities available in the professional nail industry, and the legacy of actress and humanitarian Tippi Hedren. Widely recognized as the godmother of the Vietnamese-American nail industry, Tippi helped thousands of displaced refugees find careers in the professional nail industry following the Vietnam War.

CND Co-Founder and Style Director Jan Arnold is a founding board member of the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation. “From nail industry pioneers like Tippi Hedren to today’s iconic nail artists such as Fleury Rose, we are inspired but not surprised by the industry’s selfless commitment to help improve the lives of others through the gift of education,” said Jan.
