How-To: Your Best Color and 3 To-Die-For Formulas!

Clients are getting more daring every day. Gone are the days of a simple highlight or color retouch. Now, it’s all about every color of the rainbow—from pastels to vivids—and if it’s not a fashion color, it’s a perfectly blended balayage or an ultra-platinum blonde. But coloring to the extreme can cause extreme damage—until now.

BOND Ultim8 from Matrix is a new bond protecting system that delivers eight lasting bond protecting benefits with no additional time or reformulation needed, and allows colorists to tackle every color challenge behind the chair. “Now there is no limit to my creativity,” says Matrix US Technical Director Lenny Strand. “BOND Ultim8’s simple system inspires me to push the boundaries and allows me to show off my skills as a color expert without the fear of damage. The product truly speaks for itself.”

In just three easy steps and with no reformulation or additional timing needed, Matrix BOND Ultim8 allows colorists to maintain the same expected level of lift while keeping the integrity of their client’s hair. Other key features include:

  • Helps protects bonds during lightening
  • Maintains expected lift
  • No extra time needed
  • Helps prevent hair breakage
  • Helps preserve hair fibers
  • Deeply nourishes
  • Keeps hair looking healthier

How it works
The three-part BOND Ultim8 system contains a backbar portion and a retail component.

1. (Amplifier): Add BOND Ultim8 formula to any Matrix color or lightener to protect your client’s hair as it processes.

2. (Sealer): Apply the BOND Ultim8 deep conditioning treatment after the color is processed and rinsed. Process for 10 minutes at room temperature, then rinse, shampoo and condition the hair.

3. (Weekly Sealing Treatment): The BOND Ultim8 follow-up formula provides additional nourishment to clients following the in-salon service. Plus, it’s a retail bonus for you!

It has allowed me to maximize my revenue every single day, and it’s an easy sell. Clients will feel the difference immediately and once they experience BOND Ultim8, they will never go back.”
