How-To: Pastel Pink Rose

Seen on stars like Bella Hadid, Hilary Duff and Ashley Benson, 2016 just might be the year of pink—and this dusted rose, pastel pink is a perfect blend of subtle yet cool. Get the color formula and steps below.

Matrix Color Formulas
Formula A (prelightener): ½ Lightmaster + Bond Ultim8 Step 1 + ½ 30-volume Matrix Creme Developer

Formula B (pre-tone): ½ Color Sync 8V + ½ Color Sync 10V + 10-volume Matrix Creme Developer + Bond Ultim8 Step 1

Formula C (shadow root): Color Sync 7N + 10-volume Matrix Creme Developer

Formula D (midlengths): ¾ Color Sync Watercolors Quartz Pink + ¼ Color Sync Watercolors Berry Violet + 10-volume Matrix Creme Developer

Formula E (ends): 2 Parts Color Sync Watercolors Quartz Pink + 1 Part Color Sync Clear + 10-volume Matrix Creme Developer

1. Prelighten the hair with Formula A. Then pre-tone with Formula B.

2. Apply Formula C only to the roots to create a shadow-root effect.

3. Apply Formula D through the midlengths and Formula E onto the ends.

4. Rinse and apply Bond Ultim8 Step 2.

Pro Tip: Bond Ultim8 is a NEW Bond Protecting System that the Matrix team highly suggests when coloring. It protects and rehabs the hair along with delivering other lasting bond benefits and allowing colorists to tackle every color challenge with no reformulation or additional time needed.
