| In the Chakra Room, a variety of Aveda signature spa treatments are performed. On weekends and Mondays, the Lifestyle Salon, featuring 18 permanent and mobile work stations, is transformed into the Berlin Hair Academy, a center for advanced professional training headed by veteran Aveda educators. | | |
| "The Aveda Institute Berlin was designed to reflect the traditional, elegant European feel of the building and its surroundings, while incorporating a modern urban chic style and the environmental sensibility that characterises Aveda," said Chris Hacker, Vice President of Global Marketing and Design for Aveda. | |

| To design the space, Aveda brought in Jamie Fobert of Jamie Fobert Architects. His expertise was also used in the design of the London Aveda Institute so he was well aware of Aveda's commitment to using environmentally sound materials. For the Berlin Institute, locally | grown oak, and steel and | |

| The use of solid exposed material was inspired by the pure and natural image of the brand and retail fittings were designed as solidly crafted, freestanding furniture. Products are displayed in raw steel boxes fixed upon a base of solid oak. The ground floor features recycled asphalt tiles while on the second floor, timber off-cuts were used to form a solid wood floor.
