Taya Creative Team - Japan Opening the show were platform artists Taya who presented a selection of extreme geometric precision cutting along with an amazing cocktail of fantasy long hair dressing combining false with natural hair. The two-tone presentation of red and black reflected the moods of the environment.
"Very bold cuts accentuated with Avant Garde hair pieces either crimped or abandoned for effect. Avant Garde hair was at its most extreme." Royston Blythe

Endorsing his latest style-bible for men - Guy and his team demonstrated haircuts on his male models combining classic with the funky. Moving on to Pret-a-Porter looks as seen recently on the Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves St Laurent catwalks.

Cobella Anestis Cobella joined by the Cobella team presented sexy, wearable, beautiful hair. Extended fringes were the key to the opening presentation. Moving on to the City Collection, inspired by City Girls of Milan, the team demonstrated un-precision cutting, keeping the outlines long but slicing within to create dimension within the hair.

| "The message from Cobella was powerful, cool and chic. Inspired strong fringes, disconnected styles and asymmetric lines. Sexy show with Barbarella-style big, big curls." R.B. | | |
Vidal Sassoon A joint celebration as Vidal Sassoon celebrated 50 years in the business and International Creative Director Tim Hartley, celebrated 30 years at the top of his craft. Joined by International Color Director Annie Humphreys and UK Creative Director Mark Hayes the team presented ICON - a collection reflective of the Vidal Sassoon heritage.

| "Avid Sassoon devotees were not left disappointed by this salute to the Vidal Sassoon archive. Annie Humphreys remains at the top of the premier league, along with tailored craftsmanship from the team. Brilliant presentation a hybrid of techniques broadcasting a very pure message." R.B. | | |
TONI&GUY
Presenting Chromatic ready-to-wear styles - a fast, young presentation from the team celebrating the return of team-leader Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck. The Chromatic Collection inspired from the Greek "kroma" meaning color, combining fused color with the sharp edging and metallic form of processed metal.
| |
Cuts designed around technically worked "panels" that are "dislocated" from freehand cut areas of length, combining definition and strength with a looser, dishevelled feel.
"The Chromatic Collection symbolized a new direction creating shapes, texture and colors. Styling is characterized by 'A' line, block cutting, carving, diffusing, dislocating and subtle asymmetry. Candy metallic inspired by the 60s, beaten metals from the 80s and titanium deco from the 20s." R.B.
Mahogany Mahogany's personal style was translated into new trends with 'S to L' - 'short to long'. The presentation brought us Bad Girl Elegance with models sporting divine colors and amazing cuts. Steep angles were cut into the hair to create fluid free-flowing texture to the cuts.
"Mahogany brought us 'couture punk' with a new angle on color, outlining couture colors with crude black. Cutting techniques demonstrated short sections angled out steeply. A presentation influenced by the 20's and 30's era translated into 2004." R.B.

Anthony Mascolo & Trevor Sorbie A first for the platform was this iconic double act. Promising work from the past, present and future of hair, the audience was spellbound. Introducing a feeling of total glamour, the general mood was sexy hair whether taken from the archives or dipping into the future. An incredible history-making debut.
| |
| "A truly incredible presentation - Trevor Sorbie's 'Frizz' and Anthony Mascolo's 'Veil' are styles that will go into the history books forever. Two luminaries with their focus as fashion interpreters." R.B. | |
