AG Precious Metal

AG Hair Cosmetics struck gold with Precious Metal, their 2007 hair collection inspired by the malleability, versatility and bold, beautiful shades of metal.  The looks are haute couture meets ready to wear, encompassing strong techniques while embracing hair’s unique transformative properties.

Precious Metal, created under the leadership of Artistic Director Jami Symons and Artistic Team Leader Jo-Anne Dicken, focuses on the similarities between metal and hair.  “Metal and hair both have strength, luster, brilliance and resilience,” says Symons. “We can change the texture of metal the same way that we can change the texture of our hair. Heat can change the look of metal, curling irons can create ripples like locks of molten metal, and braids can create the look of spun gold. Apply a treatment to these metals and we make dazzling, shimmering precious metal.”

What do Evangeline Lilly and Jay Manuel have in common? Both were celeb honorees at the AG Celebrity Hair Awards! Click here to see them all!

The cut looks from the 2007 collection have a modern feel with strong geometric outlines.  “Cobalt” is a modern take on the classic bob and “Silver” is an extremely versatile cut with incredible fullness, body and bounce.  For men, “Iron Man” combines the elements of a close-cut back and sides while keeping length at the top.

Complete the look with AG Foam Weightless Volumizer.  Click here to check it out.

The red carpet looks are a throwback to a more traditional feel because they incorporate plaiting, waving and intricate textures.  “Platinum Mesh” and “Iron Maiden” use easy twisting techniques that allow for a seamless transition from sophisticated to edgy and editorial.

With styles that embrace texture, versatility, contradiction and dazzling luster, AG’s Precious Metal collection sets the stage for convertible hairstyles and head-turning red carpet looks.
