Student Master Artistic Team “Ghosts in the City”

The latest collection from the Academy of Beauty & Spa’s Student Master Artistic Team draws its inspiration from a mixture of urban culture and sophisticated socialites.  Called “Ghosts in the City,” it combines elegance and finesse with a raw energy. The haircuts feature precision lines and strong internal structure while the colors are bold and contrasting with the placement heavily focused on solid form. This combination creates looks that are edgy but still incorporate a refined delicate beauty.

This trend collection for Fall/Winter gave students the opportunity to explore the more artistic side of hairdressing with esteemed artistic director and platform artist, Diego Raviglione.

Master Artistic Team Overview:  The team consists of the most driven and talented students, who in addition to the annual collection, participate behind the scenes at fashion shows and create looks for local designer advertising campaigns and editorial shoots.  Members were selected based on discipline (standing position, scissor grip, application of learned skills) and the ability to validly explain their intent and how their inspiration was manifested in design – critical skills for aspiring platform artists.
