Long before instant snapshots, photographic subjects remained perfectly still as the camera captured their likeness.  These models didn’t have the freedom to express themselves with a smile or a gesture—instead skilled photographers captured their stories, their sorrows and their joys in their eyes.  Reprising the vintage style gave the Lunatic Fringe  team the freedom to express themselves through their art—capturing a perfectly formed fingerwave here, an exquisitely sculpted curl there—and eloquently telling their models’ stories through the drama of their hair.
