Smooth, Blown Out Locks from FHI Heat

The simplicity of a styling brush meets the heat technology of a thermal tool—together they create the FHI Heat Stylus™ Thermal Styling Brush. So what can this product prodigy do? A better question would be—what can’t it do? Use it to create volume and body, lift at the crown, curls, flips and waves. Smooth frizz and flyaways and control unruly cowlicks. It can also be used to create a completely new style between shampoos, and it’s the perfect touch-up tool. And here’s the thing—it’s as easy to use as, well, as a hairbrush! Here, Shauky Gulamani, FHI Heat President, demonstrates how simple it is to create a blown out look for your client using this impressive new tool!

Beginning with a side section, take 1/2-inch to 1-inch sections and place the remaining hair in an additional clip. Place the FHI Heat Stylus at the roots, on the underside of the section, and pull down in a slow, straight motion. Repeat the same step on the top side of the section for additional smoothing.

At the crown take 1/2-inch to 1-inch sections. Begin at the root, on the underside of the section, and overdirect the Stylus forward through the hair, in a curve motion, then slightly bend the thermal brush down and inward. Continue this method to create lift at the crown.

Use a hand to guide the hair through the Stylus at the ends. Do not wrap your hand firmly around the thermal brush.
