HOW-TO STEPS
-
1
Prepare the hair by shampooing once and then dry off. Mist hair with a thermal protection spray to protect against heat.
-
2
Mix together a strong hold styling lotion and a styling creme. Using a brush, apply to the roots like a tint root application.
-
3
Dry all the roots upwards with a comb to create structure and volume at the roots only.
-
4
Using your hands, apply the same mixture to the mid-lengths and ends.
-
5
Start approximately two inches from the root and continue through the whole head.
-
6
Use and comb and dry the mixture through the lengths and ends.
-
7
Dry the top section, combing through with your fingers.
-
8
Working from underneath, start to brush the hair from the ends to the roots, working in two inch sections. Continue throughout the whole head.
-
9
Use a styling iron to create different curls and textures.
-
10
Create a combination of barrel curls, coils and “figure 8” movements by weaving the hair through the irons.
-
11
Continue alternating these techniques, working in 1½-inch horizontal sections, splitting each section into ½-inch sub-sections. Spray with thermal protection spray.
-
12
Brush out some sections with a soft brush, lightly backcomb with your fingers and dress to the desired finish.
