Hello Everyone—

This past week, a winter storm in Chicago delayed my return from Los Angeles. Although I would have preferred to have been home with my family, I relished the extra day of California sunshine and the unexpected time to relax and reflect. I had a chance to think about how grateful I am for my hard-working, funny and talented staff at BTC. I'm grateful for the support of my husband and that each of my three kids is growing up to be so unique and amazing. And I'm grateful for each and every member of behindthechair. Your loyalty is the greatest gift of all, because serving you fills our days with purpose and passion.
We know (and hope) the next few days will be among your busiest all year. And then I urge you to stop. Breathe. Set aside the ups and downs of the salon and the world and zero in on what matters most. Your friends. Your family. Your strength. Your talent. A lifetime of memories or a future full of potential. Reflect on your blessings. Remember that no matter how much you might be struggling, many people in many places are far worse off. And regardless of what's ahead, you can count on all of us at BTC to do our best to support you and celebrate you, because you are our inspiration.
