Hello Everyone—

The sad losses of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett have launched thousands of reminiscences about these icons and how they impacted our lives and our culture. Emails from BTC members are pouring in and we invite you to contribute.
Michael Jackson’s music, choreography, style and sensibility changed pop culture forever. Not only was his music the soundtrack to so many memorable moments in our lives, but the risks that he took gave many of us in the beauty business the courage to pursue our own creative dreams.
Without a doubt, hairstylists have been presented with more photos of Farrah than any other celebrity. She was the start of the sun-kissed, California beach girl trend that prevails to this day, along with the blow dryer and curling iron techniques needed to create those styles for those not lucky enough to be born with thick, tousled waves. What’s more, she maintained her signature look to the end, proving that women can look natural and sexy at any age.
Rest in peace Farrah and Michael and thank you for all that you gave to our business, our creativity and our lives.
