Hello Everyone—

Mother’s Day is about families: parents, kids, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents gather to celebrate mom and to spend time together. This weekend, my thoughts are with the Mascolo family, which, sadly, has gathered for a different reason. Earlier in the week, Guy Mascolo passed away unexpectedly in his home in Dallas. Like so many beauty companies and salons, Toni&Guy was a family business, created by Guy and his brother Toni, who were later joined by brothers Bruno, Anthony and Andrea. I had the privilege of meeting Guy on several occasions and I’ve rarely spent time with anyone more charming. He had the unique ability to warm anyone he was with his complete attention, and to make them feel special and cared for. He was soulful. He was gentle and kind and generous. He was an incomparable artist. I know that he will be truly and deeply missed by all of his “families”-- his Mascolo family, his TIGI and Toni&Guy families and his extended family of beauty industry professionals. We have all lost a great man. Travel well, Brother.
