When cutting male clients, sideburns must line up perfectly. Yet
doing so is easier said than done! That’s because many stylists
try to measure sideburns in relation to the ears and ears are rarely
even. Instead, stand behind the client, place a finger at the bottom
of each sideburn and then check your finger position in the mirror.
If your pinkies line up, the sideburns are even. Alternatively,
some stylists insure symmetry by placing a long comb horizontally
from the bottom of each sideburn. If the comb is straight, the sideburns
