Color Conservation
Color waste can cost you and your salon hundreds of dollars a month.
Are you pouring money down the drain? Noriko Podue
of Blue Star Salon and Body Lounge in Encinitas,
CA controls color waste with her trusty scale. If she has
leftovers in the bowl after a color application, she marches over
to the scale and measures the excess. Then she adjusts the formula
on her client’s record so that next time, she mixes the correct
amount of product. “Not only do I save money,” says Noriko,
“but there are fewer chemicals flushed into the system.”
