Flower Power

Here’s a how-to for a bedazzled Valentine’s Day chignon from the artists at Farouk Systems. Gather hair into a low ponytail and split it just below the elastic. Grab the tail, flip it up and draw it through the split. Tug to tighten. Mist the tail with a fast drying aerosol. While the hair is still damp, apply red, pink or silver glitter with a cotton-tipped applicator. Divide the tail into two or three sections, loop each to form a “flower petal” and secure with pins. For a finishing touch, hot glue red rosettes, feathers, flowers or beads to bobby pins and place them in the middle of the chignon.
