Bring
Them Back
The number one responsibility of everyone in the salon, declare
experts Steve and Terri Cowan, is to create
repeat guests. Look at each stylist’s retention rate.
If the salon is giving an individual 70 new guests, for example,
and the stylist is only retaining 10%, it may be wise to reconsider
sending new clients her way. Also, many salons automatically
send new clients to the newest staffers. But these stylists
may actually be the least likely to keep them. Do an analysis
every six weeks, the Cowans advise, and keep making adjustments
as necessary in order to retain the highest possible percentage.
