Red Carpet Update

“On the Side” sums up one of the hottest hair trends at the Oscars this year. Low, side ponies and chignons, and/or deep side parts were favored by Anne Hathaway, Frida Pinto, Vanessa Hudgens, Amy Adams, Marisa Tomei and more. The look is elegant and simple--great for proms, parties and brides. Clasp chignons with a pretty jewelled pin or pre-curl the pony to create lovely movement in the hair. Before gathering the hair, build in a bit of height at the crown—it’s more flattering than a flat shape for most faces.
