Dear Darcy: I pay commission but I still can’t
get my staff to retail.—Stumped
Dear Stumped: Believe it or not, money isn’t
always the best way to motivate! Your job is to find out what does
light a fire under your staff. Maybe it’s time off or education
or recognition. Once you uncover the truth, you can tie retail sales
into extra vacation days, trips to shows or classes or special awards,
and those products will fly off the shelves!
