Magic of Three
Platform artist and salon owner Robert Cromeans
believes that every client in your chair offers at least three
opportunities for services, whether it’s a haircut, color,
texturizing service, retail tool or product, etc. So before
each appointment, Cromeans advises, ask yourself, “What
is this client here for and what else can I offer?” “We
like to say to our guests, ‘we’re so glad you’re
with us today; we have so many ways to celebrate you,’”
says Cromeans. Then stylists go on to offer to “celebrate”
the client’s cut with color or a revitalizing conditioning
treatment or a new flat iron—because three is the magic
