Lunch
Break
Dear Darcy: What’s the best way to handle lunch
orders in the salon?—Love to Nosh
Dear Nosh: Staff members should never, ever discuss
food, order food or eat on the salon floor among clients. Nobody wants
to hear you waffle between the Cobb salad or the pastrami on rye or
watch you slurp your split pea soup. Call in carry-out orders discreetly
and consume those veggie wraps in the back room. If you’re ordering
in for a client, quietly discuss her options, phone her order in from
the front desk or back room, serve her and clean up as soon as she
is finished.
