Dear Darcy: One of the stylists in our small town salon has a big mouth!--Hush, Hush
Dear Hush: In any size salon, it’s important to keep floor conversation professional and upbeat. That means no gossip, story swapping and especially no negative comments about clients or co-workers or the state of the world or the economy. If an owner or manager, or even a colleague, catches wind of any type of inappropriate chatter, it’s best to quietly and immediately take the offender aside, remind her of the rules and redirect the conversation. Remember, it’s a small world and you never know who might be listening!
