I had a bad day...............yeah!!!!!!! Ever had one of those days, in the salon or spa, when everything was just off??????????  Consultation off, booking was all wrong, clients all showed up late, nobody liked their services?  You just felt like you should of stayed at home, or even worse by days end - like you should reconsider your profession???  Don't worry we all have.  It happens a couple times a  year.  Come here to let it out and have someone give you that pep talk to get you going again! Taxes are due today!  If you are commission, your taxes are taken out of your check and you probably have already filed.  I hope each of you increased your salary this year!  If you are IC or booth rental, the last day to pay taxes is today!  For a learning purposes, those of you that are IC or booth rent - discuss the pro's and cons of paying your own self employment taxes, product costs, rent, etc...........  I hope everyone had a great year! Please use this topic to discuss benefits such as health insurance, paid vacations, 401K, and bonuses.  Does your salon offer benefits?  Do you work commission or salary?  What do you think of your benefits package?  Are you utilizing these benefits even though they may appear costly to you?  What would you like to see change in salon benefits? Are you self-employeed?  If you do not have a spouse that is receiving health insurance and 401K - what are you doing to protect yourself?  Are you planning for your future?  Is aquiring private health insurance easy for you and your family?
