I have passed the written portion of the Cosmetology Instructor exam. I am scheduled to take the practical portion of the exam in Dec. I have a few questions. My theory lesson is on processing,rinsing and stabilizing a chemical relaxer . I have 20 min to do it. Is application supposed to be included in processing? Or is that all they want?-start from smoothing the hair with the comb. Also, what type of relaxer are they talking about? I am assuming sodium hydroxide because that is what students are tested on. What about a thio? Then, for my demo I have to do a virgin lightener. Do they want me to just end with shampooing the hair and then sanitation? Any help is appreciated. Milady's and Salon Fundamentals has virgin lighteners ending with a toner... help!

I passed my practical portion of my instructor's exam with a 100!!! I couldn't believe that no one had posted a reply to my question, because I knew I wasn't the only instructor on btc. I will help you anyway I can. What do you need help with in your instructor's exam?

Congratulations! thanks for responding.

well my lecture is chemical relaxer application procedure. i called and asked the board if it was for hydroxide or thio she said do hydroxide virgin. i finished my lesson plan, maybe i can e-mail it to u and u can tell me what u think. my email is taratottie@hotmail.com u could post urs or just email me.

and my demo is virgin lightener. im almost done writtin that one. im so stressed i go on the 16th.

any advice would be so helpful. did u find a job yet? thanks again
