question about "scene" hair
Posted: Wednesday, August 05, 2009 11:53:49 AM

you will probably laugh or whatever, but i'm confused about the "scene" cut.my teachers give different "explanations",but it just seems like they don't know what i'm talking about or they're just making stuff up.it's hard for me to understand things from just words.i need to see like a demo of it.(annoying)

so anyway,a student told me all you do is bring all the hair forward(as they all style it) and cut.BUT,i'm unsure of the angle.and the way he made it seem,is that you take it all and chop the whole section some how at once?idk...

if its a long cut I usually do a 90 degree cut on the bottom half of the hair and a 180 around the top and crown area then just go to town with a razor or thinning shears ...you can direct forward once you start texturizing hope that helps. if its a shorter I usually do 90 all around so its gets that little mullet and again texturize away....
