I have had the pleasure of working in an amazing salon for the past 5 years. My co-workers were all talented, helpful, educated, willing to go the extra mile to help out. I had a large client base. The salon paid base plus commission, which was VERY easy to reach. Had on going contests, prizes, paid days off for going "above and beyond". EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT. I left behind 4 weeks of paid vacation and 7 personal days , insurance, 401K . Did I mention that all this was at a CHAIN SALON?
Now, the problem, I had to relocate. I decide to transfer to the same salon in a different area. This chain is corporately owned.
I was offered a management position right off the bat. I took it. And now I regret it.
Long story short, after working in this area with this corporate chain, I want out.
How do I sell myself as the professional I am? This salon has a bad reputation in this area. I don't want it on my resume. But, I have 5 years with this company. Any advise????
