Hello
I'm just starting an interest in hairdressing so bear with me
My husband and I are going away for a few months and he is happy to try a new look ie curls :) whatsmore he said if that involves a perm he would give it a go as long as it was gone by the time we get back
Anyhow - We had a chat with out hairdresser [who is also quite excited at the prospect] and also showed her a picture and asked what she would use she said she would probably use the following:
Note: His Hair is 4" on top and 3" elsewhere
a] Alternating concave orange [9mm] and black rods [8mm] and a Quantim Firm Alkaline solution
b] Two gray rods [7mm] for every black [8mm] one and maybe a Quantum Firm Exothemic Perm for a tighter more defined look
I want him to have a that 'wet' look which is very curly but so the curls are individually defined but not too tight and certainly not I don't want him to look afro or fuzzy !
The hairdresser said he would have to use product to make it look real good each day.
My questions are -
1. How come hairdressers alternate perm rod sizes ? 2. Whats the difference between a acid, alkaline and exothermic perm ?
Kind Regards
Heather
