What is the average pay rate for an assistant these days? I have been assisting while I build my clientele for several months now, but i'd really like to ask for more $$. I work extremely hard, sometimes do a lot of the work and receive no tip from the client. I'm just curious what an average assitant makes and then explore my options! Thanks :)
hello, I work as an assistant two days a week in California. I commute 50 minutes each way and work about 10 hours a day for a set amount of $120 a week. I think that's just barely $6 an hour (under the table) and then after gasoline ($3.50 a gal!!), I'm really not making much at all...maybe $4.00/hr.
