a basic uniform cut.

im in school right and were coming up to her midterm for 2nd sems. and my teacher is having us do a 5 in. uniform hair cut. and it must be 5 inches everywhere on the head. bc this is our practice stateboard heard.. and pointers on how to do it. and make sure its 5 inches everywhere??

If you have a solid foundation on cutting, you should have no problem. Just set your guides, and remember to never accidentally cut into the guide, then once you have the whole cut done, check again. It is against what the school I went to years ago taught, but I like to go through and horizontally check the cut also, this way, you aren't just using the same partings you did when you cut. Remember this though, if you use horizontal checking, you are just checking, not recutting. It can be very tempting to start cutting here and there and the next thing you know, you did another cut, and is now shorter than you wanted.

Only worry about the things you can control, which is yourself.
